Key topics
Some of the key topics this course will cover include:
Using Microsoft Teams for accessing training
This guide aims to support delegates with how Microsoft Teams (Teams) works for training sessions, how they can interact and the general etiquette during training. A full guide can be accessed
here.
Accessing the training:
The training is accessed by clicking each of the links at the stated date and time in the emails you will be sent. There is a separate link for each session.
We recommend that you access via the Teams App on a Desktop. The benefit of this is that you are likely to be able to see more of your fellow delegates, and the presentation and video sharing may work better for you. You can download the App for free if you don’t have it already. Please note – you can still access the training without downloading the app if needed (via a web browser).
Interaction during the training:
The trainer will deliver the session by using a presentation, with a combination of information delivery, group discussions and short activities to facilitate interactivity. A PDF copy of the presentation will be attached to the email containing the links to the sessions.
We encourage delegates on our sessions to ask questions or share perspectives, and this can be done verbally or by using the chat function. During the session, you may be asked to keep yourself muted when you are not talking or interacting with others. This is to reduce disturbance from background noise.
General etiquette:
We recommend that delegates have their video cameras switched on if possible, as this can help facilitate a more interactive session.
At the beginning of the session, you will be able to see yourself, the trainer, and other participants. The number of people you will be able to see on screen may depend on your screen size and how you are accessing the session.
When the trainer is showing the presentation, you should still be able to see them in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
